Urban Decay Electric Palette Review, Photos and Swatches

Over the weekend I was minding my own business when I got an alert from my Sephora app that mentioned I could now save 15% off any purchase online or in store.

So guess what I did?

Yep, I ran to Sephora and picked up the new Urban Decay Electric Palette.

Hey I was going to pick it up anyway so when I saw that I could get 15% off I knew it was meant to be lol.

Sadly, the first Sephora I went too was completely sold out of the Electric palette, but I had them call another store and they held the last one they had for me.

Oh and I should mention not only did store number 2 hold the palette for me, but the sweet Sephora employee told me that I looked just like Alicia Silverstone so she pretty much became my new BFF haha.

Well as long as she meant Clueless Alicia and not Grungy Alicia :).

But anyway back to the palette..

Here’s what they say:

The ultimate fix for color addicts, this palette features smooth mattes and highly-dimensional shimmery shades.

Each soft, creamy, long-wearing powder is electrically colorful, and carefully crafted with a smooth formula that applies vibrantly.

Pressed pigments create heavily saturated bright shades that make eyelids pop.

The oversize palette features an extra-large mirror and double-sided precision brush for easy application on the go.

My Thoughts:

The Electric palette contains 10 pressed pigments along with a double sided brush.

The shades included in the palette are..

Revolt (bright metallic silver shimmer with silver glitter), Gonzo (bright turquoise matte with floating tonal pearl), Slowburn (bright red-orange matte with floating pearl), Savage (bright hot pink matte), Fringe (bright metallic teal).

And all together….

Gorgeous right?

I’m so in love with Electric!

As a fan of the naked palettes and someone who wears a lot of natural/smokey eye looks and not a lot of color I was actually surprised that I love it as much as I do!

It’s out of my comfort zone for sure, but once you get past that these are shades that can easily be worn with your more neutral shadows for a colorful, but wearable look.

The shadows are extremely pigmented like always and the palette is just perfect for those of you looking to add a little color to your makeup collection this Spring.

I give it two thumbs way up!!

So glad to see Urban Decay do something they do so well and that’s wild, bright colors.

Anyone else tried the new palette yet?

Best,

Leigh
