January 2018 Skincare & Makeup Empties

It’s been a while since my last empties post and that’s because I always forget to keep my beauty trash and end up throwing everything away.

I have managed to save a few things though so today I thought I’d share those with you so I can finally toss it hehe.

Let’s start with skincare which as you know is my fave.

1. Sephora Supreme Cleansing Oil $15.00.

This is a nice first cleanse. I enjoyed it.

Would I repurchase? It reminds me a lot of the one from Burt’s Bee’s so I’d probably choose the BB one instead. It is a nice product though.

2. Pixi by Petra Makeup Fixing Mist $15.00.

This is a great makeup setting spray.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

3. Vichy Mineral 89 Daily Skin Booster $29.50.

This is a pre-serum type of product. You use it before your serum/moisturizer step. It contains 15 minerals and Hyaluronic Acid to enhance long-term hydration, essential for healthy skin.

Would I repurchase? YES! I got this in my Target Beauty Advent Calendar this year and fell in love with it.  The bummer is I haven’t been able to find it anywhere. I guess I’ll have to break down and order it online. Highly Recommend.

4. Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 $32.00.

I really enjoyed this product.

Would I repurchase? I would it was very nice.

5. Dermalogica Pre Cleanse $42.00.

This is a first cleanse like the Sephora one I mentioned earlier and while I know everyone loves this product I didn’t.

Would I repurchase? No.

6. Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse $24.00.

This is a 2 step cleansing product all in one.

Step 1 is your solid cleansing oil and step 2 is a nice gentle cleansing balm.

Would I repurchase? I haven’t yet because I have way too many balms + cleansers at the moment, but I will. It’s perfect for travel and for the minimalist girl who just wants one product to deal with instead of two.

Highly recommend.

7. Algenist Ultimate Anti- Aging Cream $110.00.

This was a nice cream I really enjoyed it.

Would I repurchase? For the price probably not, but it was a nice product.

8. Karuna Brightening + Face Mask $8.00.

This mask felt nice and I enjoyed wearing it, but it didn’t visibly reduce the look of dark spots as it stated it would. My skin did look more radiant though.

Would I repurchase? Maybe.

Now onto makeup empties….

1. Lorac Porefection Foundation $38.00

This is a nice medium coverage foundation that helps blur pores and imperfections.

Would I repurchase? No. I was obsessed with this one for awhile, but I’ve since found so many other foundations that I prefer. It is a very nice foundation though.

2. Loreal Voluminous Mascara $7.99.

This is the best drugstore mascara hands down in my opinion.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

3. It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara $24.00.

The best mascara out there in my opinion.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

4. Loreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara $9.99.

This was a nice mascara, but it dried out very quickly on me and I still prefer the original voluminous mascara mentioned earlier to this one.

Would I repurchase? Maybe.

5. Tarte Tarteist Mascara $23.00.

This is a great mascara.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

6. Maybelline Masterfix Powder.

This was a nice loose setting powder, but I believe it has been discontinued.

Would I repurchase? No. I prefer a pressed powder to set my makeup with.

7. Benefit Erase Paste Concealer $20.00.

I have people ask me all the time what concealer do you recommend for dark circles and I always tell them they need a peach corrector to use first….then a concealer. This is one I used to always recommend. (The name and packaging have since changed).

Would I repurchase? I have found this Pixi by Petra Peach corrector which I like even more and its much cheaper so not anytime soon.

8. Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Pink a Boo Gloss

Love this gloss!

Would I repurchase? Yes.

9. Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser Concealer $7.89.

This is a nice concealer for aging skin as it’s light and doesn’t settle into fine lines like some heavier concealers tend to do.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

10. Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer $20.00.

A great eyeshadow primer.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

That’s it for now check back in a few months for more.
