Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette Review & Swatches

When I first heard about this palette I had no intention of buying it.

No really.

I already own Naked 1, 2 & 3 as well as Naked Smokey and Naked Basics 1 & 2.

So when this one was finally released I headed to Sephora so I could check it out, see how similar it was to the others and convince myself I didn’t need it.

Well I guess you can see how well that worked out from this post right?

Oh well I’m an addict when it comes to Urban Decay Palettes or as my sister and I like to say we are Urban Decay Palette collectors.

Sounds much nicer right?

Before I get into the review though here’s some info on the Naked Ultimate Basics Palette.

What it is:

A Naked eye shadow palette with 12 exclusive,neutral-matte shades.

What they say:

Urban Decay introduces Naked Ultimate Basics—the matte eye shadow palette loaded into a sleek, square case with matte shades that have been requested time and time again. Each shade is exclusive to this palette and completely different from the shades in Naked Basics and Naked2 Basics. This palette offers a true range of neutral mattes, from cool to warm—all with a little edge. Create contoured all-matte looks, or pair these neutrals with your favorite bold hues.

My thoughts:

If you’re a fan of neutral, matte shadows then this is a must have palette for your collection.

The shades are buttery smooth, easy to apply and have amazing color payoff.

The shades are different enough from the other palettes too that if you do have those then you should still check this one out.

I have been wearing this palette non stop since picking it up and you can create so many different looks with it.

From an everyday glam makeup look to a night out smokey eye this palette can do it all.

Oh and can we talk about the packaging?

Love it!

Overall, I give this palette two thumbs up.

It’s perfect for those of you new to the makeup game, but even makeup addicts like myself will find this a useful addition to your collection.

Naked Ultimate Basics Retails for $54.00 at Sephora and Ulta.

So tell me have you picked up the Ultimate Basics Palette yet?
