Have you heard the hype about the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops?
It seems everyone and their grandmother are obsessing over them.
They are completely sold out online and the three Sephora stores I went to last week had a very limited selection.
If you haven’t head the hype or aren’t as makeup obsessed as myself here’s a bit more info on them.
Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops are a drop formula to bring a highlighting, strobing, or bronzing effect to your favorite beauty products or to use alone for a glowing look.
Unblended and blended out
I tested the shade Celestial in the store on the back of my hand and it was gorgeous.
Celestial is a glistening pearl shade and I had extremely high hopes for it thanks to all the hype I’d read about it online.
So I grabbed it, before it was gone and ran home to play with it.
Was it worth the hype? The most amazing highlighter ever? The best of the best?
No, No, and No.
I have to say I was very unimpressed with this product.
The product blended out on my skin. Glitter ball much?
It swatches gorgeously, but once you apply it to the skin you don’t really see anything except glittery bits.
I don’t know maybe I should have picked up a different shade, but like I said the selection was very limited.
I considered returning the item since it was $42.00, but am still undecided on it.
I may continue to play with it and see if I can find a way to use it without the glittery mess.
I have to say though if you missed out on the product or passed on it don’t let the hype make you feel like you missed out on the best product ever, because trust me there are much better highlighters out there.
Not the worst product ever, but not worth all the hype in my opinion.
