April 2015 Faves: Music, Apps, Books and Beauty Products.

I can’t remember the last time I did a monthly favorites type of post, but I have a lot of favorites to share with you from the past month so I thought why not.

The list includes a little bit of everything including music, an app, a book and makeup of course.

If you’re interested in finding out more keep reading….

First things first is the song that I’ve had on repeat for months now and that’s Oh My Love by The Score.

Check out the video below and let me know what you think.

Such a fun, upbeat song I just can’t get enough of it.

Next is an app that I’ve been loving and that’s The 5 Minute Journal App.

The 5 Minute Journal App is like a toothbrush for your mind.

It is scientifically proven, just starting your day by writing down three things you are grateful for can change your day for the better.

With this app you can keep track of what you’re feeling grateful for, get inspirational quotes and much more.

Check it out here for more info.

The book that I recently finished and highly recommend is The Chimp Paradox: The Mind Management Program to Help You Achieve Success, Confidence, and Happiness.

A great read if you’re into self help type/ motivational books.

In it Dr. Steve Peters explains that we all have a being within our minds that can wreak havoc on every aspect of our lives—be it business or personal.

He calls this being “the chimp,” and it can work either for you or against you.

The challenge comes when we try to tame the chimp, and persuade it to do our bidding.

A great read for sure.

Now onto the beauty products….

April 2015 Favorites

1. Burt’s Bees Radiance Body Lotion with Royal Jelly.

This is such a nice natural product that leaves your skin with the tiniest bit of radiance.

Perfect for the natural beauty product lovers out there.

2. Rimmel Lasting Finish Color Rush Intense Colour Balm in 700 Not an Illusion.

Even though I’m a beauty product junkie I’m fairly low maintenance and I want to be able to apply a product and have it look as nice as possible all day without touch ups and this lip balm does just that.

It goes on smoothly and stays for hours.

I’ll be picking up more shades for sure.

3. Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Wear Foundation.

I finally found my HG foundation back in December which was the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, but before I was able to review it they discontinued it.

I know they have since come out with several new versions which I’ll try eventually, but I picked this one up recently because I heard it’s similar and I love it.

It’s not as good as the LM one but it’s still a great foundation.

It’s a non drying, med-full coverage foundation that feels like you’re hardly wearing anything at all.

A win in my book.

4. Well People Multi Use Color Pot.

I’ve been using this as a highlighter a lot recently and it gives you a very natural, healthy looking glow.

5. Bare Minerals Concealer in Well Rested.

I’ve always had dark circles, but it seems the older I get the worse they get and so I’m always on the lookout for a great concealer.

This one from Bare Minerals is one I’ve repurchased numerous times in the past, but just recently found again and I’m so glad I did.

The tiniest amount of this buffed under your eyes makes you look wide awake and refreshed.

And really who doesn’t love that?

6. Heaven by Deborah Mitchell Silver Bee Venom Mask.

I was recently sent several samples from the Heaven line and while a full review on all of them will be coming shortly this product is my favorite so I had to mention it.

Nature’s alternative to Botulinum Toxin, the first product of its kind.

It was created using natural and organic ingredients, combined to work in synergy for an instant anti-ageing effect.

7. Loreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense Liquid Liner.

Another oldie, but goodie.

I saw this in ulta recently and remembered how much I loved it and so I picked it up again.

So glad I did as it’s still just as good as I remembered.

8. Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil.

I reviewed this product back in March, but it’s still a fave.

I will be repurchasing this for sure.

So that’s it a few of my faves from the last month.

Have you tried any of these products?

What have you been loving?
