Any Juicers out there?
You should give it a try!
Dr. Oz says that “There are many health benefits of drinking freshly juiced fruits and vegetables, and it’s a great way to add nutrients from the fruits or vegetables that you normally wouldn’t eat. Fruit and vegetable juices retain most of of the vitamins, minerals and plant chemicals (phytonutrients) that would be found in the whole versions of those foods. These nutrients can help protect against cardiovascular disease, cancer and various inflammatory diseases, like rheumatoid arthritis. Valuable compounds called flavonoids and anthocyanins are abundant in a variety of fruits and vegetables and guard against oxidative cellular damage, which comes from everyday cellular maintenance and is exacerbated by exposure to chemicals and pollution.”
Sounds good right?
So how do you juice?
Juicing can be done a number of ways.
I know some people like to juice once a year/month/etc as a cleanse and others (like myself) like to enjoy a juice daily.
I like to have mine as an afternoon snack and I’ve come to enjoy them so much that I honestly can’t go a day without one.
Having said that though I hate the process of juicing.
Maybe it’s just me but it seems like I’m always cleaning my juicer.
The process can be a real pain, not to mention the fact that I’m always having to toss veggies that seem to expire on me before they should.
So what’s a juice loving girl to do?
Well I could always save for a better juicer as I hear they are much easier to clean than my current one, but until then I have found an even better (or easier for me) solution.
While shopping at Target a month or so ago I saw they are now carrying the brand Suja and I was beyond excited.
All Suja juices, smoothies & teas are cold-pressured using High Pressure Processing (HPP) to kill harmful bacteria and preserve maximum nutrition and taste.
I’ve tried several, but I have to say Midday Thrive is my favorite.
Midday Thrive is a delicious blend of green veggies and fruits to keep you focused and vibrant throughout your busy day.
A perfect on-the-go lunch or snack.
It can be used as part of the Suja Essentials 1-Day Renewal, or as an addition to your daily routine.
At $3.99 these juices aren’t exactly cheap, but they’re worth it.
After all beauty starts on the inside right?
