Wellness Wednesday: FitBit Flex, Whole: Rethinking the Science of Nutrition Book and more
It’s another Wellness Wednesday and I have to apologize in advance because this one is going to be a bit like my brain at the moment….all over the place :).
First things first who here has a fit bit flex or knows someone who does?
My birthday is coming up in February and I’m considering asking the hubby for one, but I’d love to hear some personal reviews first!
If you’re not sure what the Fit Bit Flex is you can click here to learn more, but basically it’s a device you wear that tracks steps, distance, and calories burned during the day and then at night, it tracks your sleep quality and wakes you silently in the morning.
It sounds amazing and may just be the motivation I need to get out and be more active.
On the subject of motivation many of you know I’m a vegan (have been for almost 5 years now) and the reason I went vegan to begin with was because of the book The China Study.
If you haven’t read it I highly recommend it so when I saw the new book Whole: Rethinking the Science of Nutrition out by the coauthor of that book I knew I had to pick it up.
I’m a few chapters away from being done with it so I can’t give you a full review yet, but I’m enjoying it.
I can tell you right now though that it’s not a book for the average person hahaha.
You really need to be a dork like me and love reading about health stuff or this book will bore you to tears.

Oh and one last thing a little late, but starting today I plan on doing 31 Days of Fitness using this plan from FitSugar.
I may not stick to the plan entirely, but I do plan on doing something everyday for 31 days.
Anyone wanna join me?
I’ll keep you up to date on how I’m doing for sure, but I feel like I do well with a plan so fingers crossed I last for more than a day or two 🙂
