Philosophy Help Me Retinol Cream Review

Philosophy:help me help myself, so that I may help others.

What they say:

Help me is a nighttime retinol treatment that targets large pores, discoloration and fine lines. Help me contains time released retinol to help keep pores clean, minimize fine lines and improve skin discoloration. The retinol in help me is encapsulated in microsponge technology which keeps the retinol stable in the cream while allowing it to be released into the skin gradually, resulting in less irritation.

What we say:

Do you have large pores? Do you have fine lines and/or discoloration? If the answer if “Yes” then boy do I know how you feel. Now answer this question. Would you like to enjoy the benefits of a Retinol without a prescription? If you just answered “Yes” again then Help Me may be just the product you’re looking for.

I’ll be 30 *sob* next month so I’m cursed with dealing with both large pores/acne and fine lines/wrinkles at the same time. So I decided to try to find a product that would help with both. I read a lot of wonderful reviews about Retinols and have always loved Philosophy and their products so I decided to pick up Help Me with one of the Sephora gift cards I received for Christmas.

I’ve been using Help Me for about two weeks now and I can already tell it’s doing wonderful things for my skin. This product has shrunk the size of my pores, cleared up my skin and is even working on removing the fine lines that have made themselves at home around my eyes. I’ve reviewed many many products on this site, but believe me girls this is one of the best skin care products I’ve used in a long long time. If I’m seeing these results in as little as two weeks imagine what it will do for my skin in the days and months to come. I can’t wait to find out.

Pros:

  • Works really well to remove fine lines and shrink pores
  • Isn’t terribly expensive

Cons:

  • You have to wear sunscreen with this product(Which you should do anyway)
  • Can only be worn at night
  • Has a tendency to dry out skin so make sure you use lots of lotion afterward!

Have you tried Help Me? What were your thoughts?
